Since its birth at September of 2003, Lucerna presents authors such as Aura Miguel, a journalist at Rádio Renascença (Lisbon) accredited at the Vatican’s Press Room Office who followed the Pope John Paul II apostolic activities through all his pontificate and had often accompanied him throughout the world, or João César das Neves , PHD in Economy, author of several books and papers in the area of Economics and Professor at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portuguese Catholic University), where he is also Chairman of Faculdade de Ciências Económicas e Empresariais (Scientific Council of the Economics and Management School) and who has also written several books about its faith and his way of living God’s Word. Lucerna has already a high level of public recognition and stands in the publishing environment as a highly prestigious imprint.

JOÃO CÉSAR DAS NEVES has a PHD on Economics, is author of several books and papers in the area of Economics and Professor at the Portuguese Catholic University, where he is also Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Economics and Management School. He was also Chief Economical Advisor of the former Portuguese Prime-minister Aníbal Cavaco Silva and a researcher at the Bank of Portugal. The many books and papers he has published on Economics are specially focused in such areas as Economics dynamics, the study of the development process, business cycles and business ethics. Periodicist at Diário de Notícias (the daily reference Lisbon newspaper), NEVES is a member of several catholic organizations (namely, the Portuguese Comission for Justice and Peace) and a very well know fiction writer in Portugal.
